Sharon Rechter, along with her partner, Guy Oranim, conceptualized and co-founded First Media, a leading media brand dedicated to inspiring women every day.
As President and Head of Business Development for First Media, Sharon helped grow the business from an idea to a leading digital media company with over 200 employees reaching 71% of us women every month.
In less than two years, its social brands became #1 in the world in views-per-post and engagement, First Media’s SoYummy, Blossom, Blusher and BabyFirst generate over 1.5 Billion monthly video views on social media, have more than 160 million followers and its TV networks BabyFirst and So yummy reach over 100 million US TV homes combined. First Media has also created the world’s best performing sponsored videos on Facebook in the last 4 years.
Companies like Wal-Mart, Unilever's Breyers, Sony, and Facebook itself are just a few brands partnering with First Media to build and activate audiences worldwide.
Sharon was named in the top 40 under 40 women in cable. And one of the most influential women in cable and broadband in 2020.
She has won EY Entrepreneur of the year award in 2019. Sharon wrote the best-selling children’s book, “The Girl From There” at the age of 11. The book was re-published this year in the US.
She is a mother of 4, and is a public speaker and often speaks about entrepreneurship, women in leadership, Israeli startups, media, and the power of the millennial mom.
Sharon received her B.A. in Business Administration from the Arison School of Business and her LL.B in law from the Radziner School of Law, both at The Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya in Israel
